We're told Phllippe was running on his treadmill barefooted when he suffered a stress fracture on his left foot.

Good heavens, it sounds bad doesn’t it? MacGruber…the movie? From SNL, MacGruber is one of the weaker ongoing skits on the show, yet, yes, Universal wanted to proceed with a big-screen adaptation of it.

But perhaps all those feelings are in vain because it seems a test-screening for the MacGruber film actually generated some positive buzz. According to Vortex Blog, MacGruber is “the best SNL film since Wayne’s World back in 1992.”

“It manages to take the concept of the original sketch and infuse it with new life. It generally works at all times, and manages to combine physical comedy, witty banter, and awkward sex. If you enjoy a good comedy, go see this movie when it comes out next year.”

The film stars Will Forte, Val Kilmer Ryan Phillippe and Kristen Wig.

After learning that it was going to be a hard-r comedy that played on 80s-action movie tropes, the complete and utter disdain for the film adaptation of the SNL sketch MacGruber has turned into cautious excitement. That cautious excitement has built as a review from a recent test screening says, “MacGruber is the best SNL movie since Wayne’s World in 1992.” The review, posted on The Vertex, provides a plot synopsis that lines up with the one Universal provided back in October:

Ryan Phillippe was the source of some weekend manjoyment when he bared his six-pack during a workout in LA yesterday. He took a break from his crosstown runs, instead enjoying another of his shirtless hikes in Runyon Canyon. Ryan recently took a trip from LA to see his girlfriend Abbie Cornish up in Canada, but fortunately he's back home and sticking to his delightful workout routine.

Ryan Phillippe didn't need a wardrobe change last night as he went right from LAX to the club M16 in Hollywood. He returned to California after a trip to visit Abbie Cornish in Vancouver, and got right back into his usual socializing routine. Ryan's ready for time off after working on MacGruber and The Bang Bang Club over the Summer, and he also now has plenty of chances to see Ava and Deacon between his late evenings out. Ryan's home in time to catch the World Series tonight when his beloved Phillies take on the NY Yankees in game six.

Reese Witherspoon hits the softball field to shoot new scenes for the Untitled James L. Brooks Project on Monday morning (October 12) in Philadelphia, Penn.

Yesterday, papa Ryan Phillippe and his girlfriend, Aussie actress Abbie Cornish, were seen taking his kids Ava, 10, and Deacon, 5, to their school’s “WC Eagles Harvest Festival” in Brentwood, Calif. Abbie was seen snacking on some blue raspberry cotton candy while the kids were seen decorating their own frisbees.

Ryan Phillippe and his matching mini me, Deacon, ran errands in Beverly Hills yesterday. The boys are back together in LA after Ryan spent part of the Summer in New Mexico showing off his impressive guns while filming MacGruber. Now that Ryan's home again, he can be there to help as Deacon and Ava join all the other celebrity kids heading back to school.

It's nice to see Ryan out n about a bit. He's looking anoyed as always lol but also looking good :))

Hey everyone!! Hope your all doing well. I am here to make a little site update. I wanted to let you know that i havn't forgotten about the site. Things have been really slow around here. Mostly with Ryan, i havnt heard anything really exciting going on with him in the last few weeks. He is just filming and doing his thing, which is good :)) We can look forward to new movies soon.

Ryan Phillippe picked up two iced teas while out in LA yesterday. He's back in California after a trip to New Mexico to work on MacGruber, and now he can reconnect with his family after Reese kept an eye on their kids. Ryan also always makes time to work out those muscles, especially if his latest film project will feature some hot shirtless moments.

Ryan Phillippe and his costars, SNL actors Will Forte and Kristen Wiig shoot scenes for the MacGruber movie in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Monday (August 31).

If you’re not familiar, MacGruber is the recurring Saturday Night Live sketch that parodies MacGyver (the 80’s series where MacGyver could make weapons out of paperclips). The most famous MacGruber skit is the Pepsi one.

Forte plays the titular bumbling spy and Wiig reprises her Vicki character (MacGruber’s assistant).

While she may be top-billed in the new movie Bright Star, Australian actress Abbie Cornish first rose to prominence in the U.S. two years ago, when she costarred in the real-life domestic drama involving the then-married Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon.

Cornish, now 27, and Phillippe, 34, met on the set of the movie Stop-Loss, and today they share a home in Los Angeles – "where it was love that brought me here, not work," she tells W magazine for its September issue. "I think the city feels and looks a little bit different because of that.”

While Witherspoon has publicly called divorce humiliating and isolating, Cornish – whom W says was "cast as the culprit" – looks back on the period when the spotlight first fell on her as "a really difficult time for me."

Suddenly, she said, she was forced to enter a realm of paparazzi and tabloid coverage "that I'd never been exposed to. In a normal successful career, someone usually learns these things bit by bit. For me, it was like night and day. I woke up one day and there was this whole new thing I had to process and deal with."

Abbie Cornish says starting her relationship with Ryan Phillippe was "a difficult time." The 27-year-old actress - who began dating the screen hunk after meeting him on the set of 2006 movie "Stop Loss," prompting speculation she played a part in the breakdown of Ryan's marriage to Reese Witherspoon - was unprepared for the intense scrutiny their romance attracted.

She explained: "It was a really difficult time for me. I was thrust into this realm of paparazzi and coverage that I'd never been exposed to."
